What is vascular laser treatment?

Vascular laser treatment is a non-invasive procedure designed to reduce the visible appearance of spider veins, broken capillaries, and cherry angiomas on the face and body. Using medical-grade laser technology, the treatment delivers a focused beam of light that heats and coagulates the blood in the affected vessel, allowing the body to gradually reabsorb it.

This treatment is suitable for:

  • Superficial facial veins (telangiectasia)
  • Cherry angiomas
  • Face and torso only

How it works.

The laser emits energy absorbed by haemoglobin (the pigment in blood), causing the vessel walls to heat, collapse and seal. The treated vessel is then broken down and naturally eliminated by the body’s immune system over the following weeks.

Because the laser targets the vessel while leaving the surrounding skin intact, downtime is minimal and the risk of damage is low when performed by trained clinicians.

  • Delivers laser energy to haemoglobin in visible vessels
  • Causes vessel walls to collapse and fade over time
  • Selective targeting means minimal risk to surrounding skin

Sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, typically 1-3 required.

Benefits of vascular laser treatment.

  • May reduce the appearance of spider veins and redness
  • Precise targeting of unwanted vessels
  • Minimal discomfort and no downtime
  • Can treat the face, chest, décolletage and torso
  • Effective for many types of superficial vascular concerns

Our process.

  1. Consultation & Assessment
Your clinician will evaluate the affected area, review your medical history, and confirm your suitability for vascular laser. We’ll also discuss any medications that may increase sensitivity.
  2. Laser Sessions
Short bursts of energy are delivered to the targeted vessels using a precise handpiece. The treatment is quick and well tolerated, often taking just 15-30 minutes.
  3. Aftercare and Followup
Mild redness, tingling or swelling may occur for a few hours. Vessels may darken before fading over 2-4 weeks. Most clients need 1-3 sessions for optimal results.

FAQs.

Do I need a consultation?

Yes, a consultation is required to confirm if vascular laser is suitable for your skin, vessels and medical history. We’ll also explain pre and post-treatment care and provide a quote.

How many treatments will I need?

On average, 1-3 sessions are recommended. Larger or more widespread vessels may require additional treatments, especially for clients prone to vascular issues.

Is this a permanent solution?

Treated veins typically do not return, but new spider veins can form over time due to genetics, sun exposure or lifestyle. Maintenance treatments are available.

Does it hurt?

You may feel a quick, warm flicking sensation with each laser pulse. Most clients find the treatment very tolerable without the need for numbing.

Are there side effects?

Redness, warmth or mild swelling is common and usually subsides quickly. Temporary darkening of treated vessels may occur. Rarely, slight pigment changes may appear but usually resolve with time.
