How does it work?

Omnilux LED therapy is a natural skin treatment as it works with your body to promote healing by targeting the cells specifically responsible for the synthesis and repair of the skin’s supportive structures. Omnilux uses three different wavelengths to target various skin concerns; blue light, red light and white light.

Omnilux Blue (415NM) kills bacteria (P.Acnes) that cause acne and blemishes. It also clears away any redness and scarring. When stimulated by the wavelength, skin inflammation reduces, and the bacteria are neutralised. When Omnilux Blue is used in conjunction with Omnilux Red, you’ll see a marked reduction in acne skin lesions.

Omnilux Red (633NM) stimulates elastin and collagen to strengthen your skin’s supportive structure. With higher blood flow, your skin detoxifies, becomes clearer and has fewer fine lines and wrinkles. This anti-inflammatory LED therapy also enhances the effectiveness of your skin products and our other skin treatments.

Omnilux White (830NM)  is the most deeply penetrating wavelength, working indirectly through cell membrane absorption to stimulate complex cellular processes that result in increased collagen, elastin and growth factor production to treat the visible signs of photodamage and stimulate cellular repair mechanisms essential in the wound healing process. By stimulating your deep skin tissue, your skin becomes smoother with less fine lines and wrinkles.

Is it safe?

Omnilux LED therapy is a very safe procedure that is both FDA and TGA approved and can be performed on all skin types. Many clients report that the treatment is relaxing and not painful due to the fact that no heat is generated from the procedure. Your eyes will be protected during the treatment with a pair of goggles.

How many treatments do you recommend?

For optimum results a course of treatments will be prescribed 48hrs to 72hrs apart are recommended and  results are not temporary; clients will see continued improvements 4 to 6 months following a series of light treatments.  We recommend booking in for a skin consultation with our dermal therapist who will prescribe a treatment plan dependent on factors such as what you are wanting to treat, how severe your skin condition is and how long it has been there, generally a course of 6-8 treatments over a 4 week period.
