DERMAPLANING
(Epidermal levelling)

DERMAPLANING

What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning otherwise known as epidermal levelling, rejuvenates the skin by removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) by scraping the skin using a sterile surgical blade held at a 45 degree angle. This procedure leaves the skin smoother and brighter.

Benefits:

  • Removes excess surface dead skin cells revealing smoother, softer skin

  • Brighter complexion-dead skin cells build up and vellus hair causes facial skin to look dull, grey and/or ashy

  • Increases absorption of active ingredients in skin care products

  • Creates a smooth canvas for flawless makeup application

  • Allows skin to breathe, reducing congestion and asphyxiation-makes for easier extractions

  • Softens and can reduce fine lines and acne scars

  • Provides clients with instant results and no downtime

Will my hair grow back darker or thicker?
No, dermaplaning will not change the structure of the hair and it will grow back at the same rate as before.

Results are immediate after only one treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Noticeable improvements in skin texture and tone will be evident after only one treatment. For exfoliation purposes a treatment plan of 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart will provide optimal results, for hair removal, repeat treatments will be needed depending on the growth cycle of hair.
